I have had a bad night and it is getting late here so I started playing heads up on a $1-50c Limit Holdem table, I have had a couple of beers but I am not drunk or on tilt, just a bit fed up with my play.
Started off with buy in of $100 and built it up to $140 cos the guy I was playing was an aggressive idiot raising every hand.
I started reraising back and anyhow in this hand I flopped top full house, checked, he raised I reraised he called, the turn came and I raised, he reraised etc and we ended all in for a pot of $280. Happy days, he had trips and 2 outs, but you guessed it, he hit quads.
In many years playing poker that is one of the worse beats I have had, it is very very rare I buy in with $100, my BR on the site was only $220 so that was foolish I know but it just goes to show that you may be a 98% favourite but until that river is turned over you aint won.
I was shell shocked at the time but now, 10 mins later I just say hey thats poker for you, i love it and I hate it, at this moment hate wins, until tomorrow :)

Wait for the 0.5%, runner runner with 2 outs. Thats when you want to quit. But yeah just bad luck, play to brm management and you can just shrug those off.

Give the beginning dude a break, it's not like everyone played long enough to see a straight flush over straight flush after a flop Allen like you old coots all had :p

I have been fortunate enough to not run into runner runner two outers so far myself so this would kinda hurt, but yeah totally not something unexpected over several 10ks of hands, had 3 or 4

I flopped a full house with QQ, QJJ flop. Then lost to AK. Turn J, River J.
