You should've bet the turn for value, so many hands will call.

I would have bet full pot on flop if I was to consider checking the turn. Checking the turn was a pretty bad move in my opinion because you're stronger than he thinks and you're not taking advantage of the fact. It's almost like you walked him to the river. Big hand why not bet big?

The bigger the danger on the flop the bigger your raise needs to be. Simply looks like he had A2 and he sucked out on you.
By bigger raising you aren't giving him the odds to follow and if he does, it means in the long term eventually you should win more than you lose. Even though losing streaks do occur by correct play which is called variance.

Don't be scared as well to bet bigger... Heads up with someone is where you want to be, perhaps with more people in the pot it may get trickier to play and more likely you'll lose the pot.

FWIW I think the size of the flop bet is fine, no need to be firing pot sized bets in a 3bet pot. The biggest mistake here was checking the turn.

Perhaps that's a leak in my game... Betting too much on the flop with a 3bet pot unless I've hit the board heavy.

I wouldn't of checked the turn that was your only mistake, I would of made a 1/2 pot raise here as the board is still showing you have the strongest hand.

I had kings yesterday and I played them strong, I cant remember the board but I know they were all low and a J was on the board. I kept raising into the pot on every street and kept getting called and on the river the J came. I still played it strong and it turned out the guy had a J rag card so I was beat. Even though I lost I still believe I played this right, you have to play cards like AA, KK etc strong, unless the board has overcards on it.
