Hi, I wonder if I should play regular hold'em or speed poker (Zoom, SNAP). I cannot use HUD because I play 888 and they do not let HUDs on SNAP. I heard that speed poker is actually more difficult because everyone is much more aggressive.

Thank you for your answers.

Regular at least until you know how to reliably categorize players and alter your game, to around NL10, imo.

Without hud your game needs to surrealistically good I would imagine :vollkomme

Ok that means I should avoid speed poker if I don't have HUD. Thanks.

if you just start playing you will be hard to play in zoom without experience, it's hard to follow the game of rivals.

Speed games like the ZOOM requires much more experience and knowledge, the ZOOM is not the poker mode for a beginner, most players that you see in the ZOOM tables are experienced players who know how to play very well and know apply the bluff very well, it is also not recommended to play that modality when you do not have a considerable enough bankroll, nor to play it for a long time, you just have to play it for a certain time, because if you are going to play it for long hours you will finish losing all your BANKROLL

You can get a lot more hands in playing zoom but the variance is high. It’s also hard to get called on a lot of hands with the fast fold. Try normal tables and build and image while using hud to your advantage

Start with regular games so you can get a feel for it... try sit and go's and tourneys too... ONCE you feel comfortable try playing 2-3 tables at the same time!

Then try speed poker.

Regulars until you lean how to play shove fold poker because thats what speeds pretty much comes down to. That and a little of lady luck on your side.

I enjoy 'speed/zone' poker when I'm watching the television and bored but you can't get any reads, you basically just play your hand and hopefully it works out but sometimes you find the same thing with other people and run into two or even three big hands where they are doing the same thing as you (waiting for hands to get their money in). If you do decide on playing those games, I suggest trying to trap people with the 89 suited and connector hands. Hope this helps!

I love Zoom poker, you play really strong hands, it isn't necessary to wait for them long. It is a lot of strong hands of AA KK QQ

I don't think speed poker is optimal for a beginner. You still have to learn to recognize the different types of players and how to play optimally against them.

NO. Honestly, I dont think anyone should play. It doesn't prepare you for anything really.

if you want something to try that will make you better, tape a little piece of thick paper over the spot on your screen where your cards appear, and just play your opponent, practice reading people. That's old school, and very much the real deal as far as getting better.

It is necessary to play, but carefully, often skip, and wait for a good hand, this is a good experience:)

I would definitely recommend a regular game until you have really mastered your thought process in hands.

Speed poker is okay if thats the speed that works but remember to be able to change gears. If you raise three pots in a row and on the third rereaise you face a large reraise, it maybe be time to slow it down. Wait until you have position, or until you have premiums

As a beginner it is very hard to gain money with speed poker but for sit n go or tournament game are better to practice.

Beginners should try to avoid speed poker because too many times your bankroll will go to someone else.

Other players have someway to suck you out.

I wouldn't play speed poker as a beginner. Poker is a tough game that requires complex thought processes.

i would stick to regular especially when you cant use a hud. You wont be able to know against what kind of players you're up to.
