Ok i`ve been having trouble with this for a while, in MTTS and in Cash games.. Everytime(well majority of the time) i feel like someone is week and i raise them they`ll have the hand to either reraise me or call and bet out on the next turn... WTF? i mean I try to float sometimes and I`m a tight player so i would figure people take my raises as a solid hand, but no they dont... Am i just trying to hard? i`m playing micro stakes cash games (0.01/0.02 and sometimes 0.02/0.05) and tournaments range from .25 to $2. Am i picking the wrong level of players to try what i`m trying? I`m not sure.. I mean i see people get away with crazy aggressivness and nobody calls them down, then me the tight player 3 bets or something and dudes call me down with mid pairs and shit.. so annoying..

You play microstakes. You forgot that poker clients remove the fold button for players who play 5$ NL and below.

It is annoying. I've gone between two extremes, passively just grinding it out with good hands, or being hyper-aggressive with the nuts. Either way, I end up being short-stacked at the bubble or just plain sucked-out on and out of the MTT.

Most of the time they are not even paying attention to who is playing tight or not.

Well, it appears it's working against you, so why would they stop? Against an aggressive player, they are afraid to reraise, because they don't want the aggressive player to go over the top. However, since you are playing passively, it appears to them that they can get you off of your hands, which apparently they can. So even if they're weak, if they're beating you for any reason other than pure luck, they're outplaying you. It doesn't matter if they're a complete donk who raises every hand he gets. He's finding a way to take your money and it isn't by getting lucky, which, like it or not, makes them a pretty good player.

Think about what they're doing though. It should be pretty easy to beat this person. Fold when you don't have much, even if you sense weakness, and then just trap when you get a hand. If they're going to keep betting with marginal hands, and especially if they're going to reraise you when you raise, then you should be able to get so much out of good hands. I would love it if someone raised every time, because the second I made a good hand, I would just take all their money.
