Hello everyone
I have started playing poker particularly 2nl cash games on party poker a few months ago and have not made any money yet since i have started. I deposited $50 onto my account and have onky made say $5 but then i will lose a few bi's and be back down to my initial deposit at $50. I feel i am learning quite a few basic principals of winning poker but i still just cant increase my br. I have had poker tracker 3 installed yet only a few days ago my computer died and lost all the data from memory i played a very tigght 10/7/3 and i had compared them to a tag reg and they all seemed to be very similar except the reg played a fair bit looser with a vpip of around 15. Ok so now onto my question I just want a some one to have a look at a hand I played last night which I lost 100bbs on .

Utg+1 villian 100bb
Raises to 0.06
Everybody folds
Me button AcAd reraise to 0.20
SB Bb fold villian calls
Flop comes 9c9sKd
Villian checks
Me bet 0.25
Villian calls 0.20
Turn 2h
Villian goes all in
Me call
River bricks
And he shows 10 9 for 3 of a kind 9's
Now is there anyway to tell that this guy could have hit the set
Ohh and BTW villian was a fairly loose passive player 20/3/0
And is there's anything I could have done in The hand to prevent this
Thanks:( :D

Well, im certainly not folding there.

I would have bet more on the flop though, not that it really changes anything about this particular outcome.

At this level I think barely any player would bluff there.
In my opinion this is a fold.. I really don't see anyone doing that without a hand that beats you on this level..

Also, not really important but just a little thing, a vpip of 20 isn't loose. I myself have something around 19/17 and I'm a tight-aggressive player.

As said above, Only way to win that hand was preflop, Its just bad luck, Also if you bet to high with aces your profit goes down in the long run.

Your profit doesnt go down by betting high... Id say bet bigger on the flop like at least 3/4 pot.. your losing so much value.. As some one said at these levels bluffs arent as common but what is common is people stacking off w/ Ak,KQ,KJ... some crazies prolly even K10 here.. Im never folding this spot personally unless this person has only showed shoves with absolute nuts a bunch

Just to add an extra point, At least where I play I would be far more worried about a turn check/call and a river shove on a blank - Even then im still probably calling and fistpumping unless they have notes that suggest folding might be worth considering.

In this case the shove on the turn would it look as though he hit a set on the turn or even 2paied a king rag

If they have king rag then the rag pairing is irrelevant as they would already have a pair of kings and a pair of nines. You cant have 3 pair.

OK so now final verdict did I play this hand well or could I have brought myself to folding this one at the all in on the turn
Also llatrely I have been hitting trip aces on board with say ace king and get it in just to see they the other person flopped a boat with an axce rag type hand anything to do here except get it in and hope I have him out kicked thanks
