I know this has been talked about before but a fresh discussion does no harm :D

The reason I ask is because I seem to have lots of up and downs. For example there a periods when I have no luck, nothing hits me and everything hits my opponents and I just can't do anything right. Then out of the blue everything is hitting me, my aces and kings were at 66% win rate then in a new chart they go up to 100%. It seems I get all the luck or none of it. Like in the chart below graph here I had no luck to begin then out of the blue my profits rocket. Do I take it as I was getting unlucky then got lucky or factor in skill?

I have made a profit of $200 since I began playing a few months ago. I have tightened up my game and play at 18/12 20/14.

If your a good player its about extracting the pennies out of your good hands and saving the pennies with your marginal hands.

Picking spots for good bluffs (emphasis on picking)

But it is a factor of Skill and Variance. Its not unlucky your KK met AA pre flop.

And your sample size is tiny. People play that many hands in a single session. If, after 25000 hands you are still wondering if it is skill or variance try posting some stats for others to look at find any major leaks. Otherwise just post hands in HA section and keep working on your game...

ive had a decent day, played for leisure sporadically on the 10 cent/ 20 cent fixed limit tables, up $16 today. Feels good when yr playing for fun and you get paid a bit for it. Playing a 500 euro freeroll in a couple of hours, hope i do well there.
