Just having a real bad time lately at the ring tables (6nl 6max) the last month or so(roughly 10k of hands), nothing hitting when I hold AK/AQ, and premium pairs hitting bad boards (ie flsuh draw boards or paired boards), the site where I play(unibet), so many people with a draw chase all the way, no matter how much you try to bet them off the hand.
What can I do? Tighten up, and just play premium, and try to ride this downswing out, or some other tactic?

edit, its only runbad for last 5k of hands, but thats quite a bit to me.

Thats a 5bi downswing at 6nl, completely standard really, I know its a lot of time that you've put in but its not a big sample, hows the EV line? Would be normal for a running bad thread to include a sky high redline!

If they chase draws all the way no matter what thats a good thing, as long as you keep charging them they'll stop hitting, and they may not even have the draw, might have like TPMK and just be c/c'ing.

Also, paired boards arent that bad for premium pairs, if there's already 2 of a card out then its obv less likely that villain has hit trips or better.

graph with EV line, seems Im a couple of buy-ins below.
as for the draws, Ive tried betting them off with pot-sized bets, still doesnt work.
and the paired boards, for some reason they always hold one of the paired cards.

as long as this graph is standard for the amount Ive played thats fine.

If you play for more money then more people would fold str8 and flush draws. Most people that play low stakes are people that don't fully understand poker and will chase to the fullest, plus 20 euros is pocket change to most people that play.

If you are confident you are making the right plays, don't change your game for the sake of correcting the downswing. Downswings only exist in the past. Every new hand that is dealt to you is the starting point of a new stretch. If you do think you are playing poorly, then analyze your hands and try to figure out whats going wrong and what leaks you have. Take a break perhaps, review your hands, and most of all avoid tilt... while 5k hand downswings do suck, they are completely standard and downswings for moderate long-term winning players can on occasion conceivably last even 50k hands and 30BI or more. Don't focus on the results, review your hands to make sure you are making correct decisions, and be happy that you are sitting at juicy tables where fish are calling your pot-size bets when they are way behind.

Well it looks like you should take your advice and play a little bit tighter. Hope you get back into the swing of things soon.

tightened up my game, and have been more cautious on wet boards, and betting big when I feel Im ahead.
Up 6 buy-ins today, in 1500 hands.
fingers crossed Ive turned a corner.

I'm at this point right now. It's funny how it's gets to your head so easily.. I even feel like i'm being bluffed because every time i raise someone calls or re-raises. I'm glad to see you are going back up, means you are playing a good game. I feel the same way, I'm making the right moves but everything and anything is taking me down. I tightened up tremendously, so hopefully it'll work itself out. Anyways, goodluck on the felt sir.

i dont understand how you can start a thread like this you have posted over 8000 times surely you already know the anwsers to your questions they come up in nearly every thread. for example your sample size 5000 hands surely you know that is a completely irrelevant sample size and to gauge anything from that is just stupid.

to make you feel better, this is a small section of my graph for october (had the worst downswing ive had for a while). obv i play a super high-variance style, but ye this is mostly 50NL (a little 100NL)

note the 1.4k downswing i had between 35/45k hands- somewhere between 14-28 buy ins, and ye in only a slightly larger sample size

so cheer up! ha

yeah. worst point was only like a week ago too. thought i was going to have a losing month- tilted me so hard. 55k hands in 22 days is only 2500 hands a day..... thats really small volume for me lolol.

out of curiousity, i just looked at how many hands ive played since sept 1st (so last month aswell) and its 140k hands

lol. im on 13.5k hands this month, and thats a lot for me.
Which is why it's very important to recognize that this is very low volume and that 5k-10k hands is a *really* small sample size. Nothing at all surprising or out of ordinary about such a small swing.

My worst swing was -30BI over 50-60k hands or so several years ago at 50NL. I had been winning for a while and seeing my graph take off, then a combination of variance + complacency (not working on my game) + overconfidence + getting tilty when things starting going south conspired to send me to my doom.

Valuable lessons were learned, but it turned me off poker completely for months and when I returned it was to mostly SNGs and DONs at lower volumes (I used to 12-16 table FR, now I 6 table 6-max games or the occasional MTT). I will dabble in cash occasionally and have been planning a return now that I think I have most of my leaks plugged, but part of me is still gunshy from that whole experience. Although even with that bad of of swing, in terms of life earnings I'm way ahead despite the lack of volume I've put in for the last couple years, so that really helps to maintain perspective.
