I've never been a fan of 'run it twice'. There is no doubt that it reduces variance which may be a feature you want (beginner, low BR, starting at a new level .. maybe more reasons). But if you are a proven profitable player then this can only reduce your ROI (am I wrong?)
My concern with 'run it twice' is how it affects play at the table, can it disadvantage players who do not 'run it twice'?
At the start of a hand (on pokerstars
) can you identify a Run It Twice player or is it only when you get to a heads-up showdown?
Would you then make a list of players that you know 'Run it Twice' and play hands against them with this in mind (play more drawing hands)?
