I know every poker players bankroll with go fat then bust and fat and back to bust, I would like to know when your bankroll is really on a roller coaster ride and you really are only making mistakes like your QQ rand into KK and it was only $30 to call the all in kind of spots, but your just getting ran down on the river and two outers cant seem to stop spiking the river, what are the things you do to keep yourself determined to win and not get snake bitten or in a negative "i never get lucky" frame of mind ?

all advice is always appreciated

thank you :)

I've not noticed mine go fat, then bust then fat and bust again. I don't think I've actually gone bust "yet" although i guess there is still time (fingers crossed i wont) I've have had countless times found myself running into a higher pocket pair, although it's never bust me as I'm trying to keep very strict bankroll management.

I've had many of times been ran out to the river for one outer and been done numerous times but still haven't one busto yet! I think it all boils down to bankroll management, after a while it will swing in your favour and your better cards will yield the profit long term

i need to clear the "fat to bust" i mean when all you have is say a $500 bankroll for a 1/2 NL holdem game and you play focused and make few mistakes but get unlucky on a few sessions and have your bankroll ground down to say one buy-in and then you grind it back up to $600 and then you go on another slide and get back down to only one buy-in, i am sure this happens to other players ? I was wanting to know what other players do to not get into the snake bitten mind frame next time you sit back at the table.

Of course it will happen to some people but this is where the big part of BRM comes in play. Well, personally it's a case of having more than one buy-in to a table.Maybe 20-30. So 10,000K/15,000K for playing those limits and avoid having what happens as you describe as you could afford to lose a few buy-ins but know over time you're going to come out on top.

You most definitely shouldn't be playing such limits if you can only afford one buy-in to a table as in effect that's like just using your $500 for one tournament and hoping to get lucky.

i understand i need a bigger bankroll for the 1/2 cash game, my question was more along the lines of, what do other players do when they call their game into question because they are running bad and cant seem to put a bankroll together.

When I start running bad I drop stakes, and/or take a break.
I will also swich games, which breaks up the monotony of holdem.
Good luck.

dont play outside your bankroll thats the only advice i can offer... also if your over playing hands..and the looser you play expect your varience to be high (rollercoaster bankroll) if your all in with any over pair and constantly betting your draws thats considered loose play...or callling reraises with QQ thats also considered loose... tight players have less of a rollercoaster ride... but at the same time tight players usually dont win as big as loose players...but dont lose as much either

billy, I think I have very good BRM, I have never gone into a game outside my bankroll, I wait for my spots and get the max most of the time, I have good tilt control. what i am asking is, when you go on a cooler for a month or longer and cant seem to win big pots even tho you played it good and got the player to put his $ in as the dog, Poofy said he switches games, I have somethings i do as well like go fishing for the weekend and take my mind off of cards, if anyone else has anything they do when its running bad, please post it :D
