RISKS AND REWARDS
There is always for me A stage in A tournament when it comes down to taking that risk that doesn't fit any of the books or suggestions, or odds
It is usually A gut feeling with some kind of decent hand. I play with the intent of making it deep into tournies. The one important fact that has come to light. If I am going achieve that goal I'm going to have take the risk of being eliminated or crippled.
When I have been crippled and put on a short stack I will push with connectors or even mid range hi draws.
If I am sent to the rail fine, many times I am rewarded. The choices are my responsibility alone. I don't allow myself to be influenced by others reaction to my hand selection, nor do I allow prior beats or hands played to make my present decisions.
These are strategies that have worked for me over and over. I have learned that it doesn't matter what my roi is or any other past factors. Only the one hand at A time in front of me, and the decision to either enter the hand or fold, or continue to the turn or river on this 1 hand. Do I have certain hands that I favor "yes" ofcourse I do I play poker don't I lol!!
