Recently played in Caesars poker room. There was this one hand where there were 3 players in the pot. Flop there was a round of betting. Turn one of them drops out. HU to the river. One bets the other calls. The one who bets says you got me and pushes his cards towards the dealer facedown. The caller flipped his cards over he had nothing. Dealer moving slowly only grabbed ONE of the other guy's card and mucked it. So he says he had a pair. She still didnt grab other card. She called floor and he told her to flip the mucked card over and he won the pot.

Was this right decision? Have any of you witnessed this before?

If the guy folded his hand then it should be dead, but if I were the other guy I would not flip up my cards and just wait for the dealer to ship me the pot though.

The guy who folded his hand should lose the pot. If he had compete rubbish and didn't want his bluff to be shown to save embarassment he'd probably be annoyed with the whole thing.

Idiot guy number one... he should of mucked cleanly.

Idiot dealer... he should of scooped his cards immediately.

Idiot caller... he should of waited until idiot dealer mucked idiot guy number one's cards. Also... no reason to show his bluff catcher on river. Now table knows he will call very very light. Rest of table needs to bet for value more often than not on river.

sounds to me like everyone involved made errors, both players,
then the dealer, then the floor person who probably was a bit unclear as to what had actually happened.

In the real world, stuff like this happens all the time
