Yooooooooo.

Going to be playing a ton again so figured I'd make a thread.

Just recently signed a 100k hand contract with a stable and will have access to coaching and all sorts of other things so I'm hoping this will help move my game in the right direction and give me the motivation to grind and study more than ever before.

Will be using this thread to post hands and discuss things I find interesting along the way with everyone here at CC :dancing:

w/ thread savers ofc

Cheers everybody and GL:)

So had some discussions with backers today and they offered me a longer contract (250K) + 12 1 hour coaching sessions with one of the coaches on top of the group coaching /skype groups/perks from the original contract.

Talked with the coach for a few hours(for free) to get a feel for each other and more so he could get to know me a little better.

Pretty stoked to be doing this as one of the biggest blocks for me was knowing how to properly study and analyze my (and others) game and basically just figuring out where to start to try and reach the next level.

He gave me a couple basic assignments to start which I will share with anyone who is interested in trying it.

First one is to assign our RFI ranges for each position (UTG/MP/CO/BTN/SB). This is a pretty standard one obviously but I think even the best of players can benefit from doing this every once in a while because it pays to know exactly what our range is in every spot we end up in and the more we study and learn it the more automatic it becomes for in game decisions.

CL8L7.jpg

Now obviously our CO/BTN/SB ranges are heavily dependent on the players to our left.

The second assignment which is also probably pretty basic but has presented some challenges to me are the call vs raise ranges vs unknown opponents for each position(vs each position).

I am still working on the call vs raise ranges and will probably post what I end up coming up with .

Feel free to leave your thoughts and conclusions if you try it.

GL everybody.

Also feel free to add me on skype

I think you should keep the 100k hand contract and decide after complete if want to add another 150k hands, other way are tie for several months and maybe next month change of mind.

Actually they don't mind if I play other stuff/networks on my own dime and 25K hands a month is pretty easy to meet for me so shouldn't be a big deal.

Also the personal coaching sessions and everything on top of that is just totally worth it to me. I've been stuck for quite a while now with the whole learning process and I think this should definitely help lead me in the right direction.

There are tons of basic fundamental errors/leaks that I feel I just can't identify on my own right now, not to mention how often I question my own logic during hands in-game. They should be able to help me get my off the table/study game up to par which should result in easier and more automatic decisions on the tables.

Good luck red's. Subbed. will be following along.

So, when creating your ranges, do you include hands that you may raise with once in a blue moon (i.e. K3s or 58s type hands)? Or, more importantly for me, if you're logging a 3bet range, does it include 3bet/fold to 4bet (3bet bluff) hands?

1. Yeah, certainly. I would only open those types of hands from LP/Steal spots though.

2. Yup include every hand you would 3b with regardless of future actions. For example: BTN 3b vs UTG open - AK, QQ+, A2s-A5s .

A 3b vs each position from each position is another great exercise to work on as well.

Good luck this weekend people :)

So it's been quite interesting(and tbh, quite difficult lol) trying to work out these call vs raise ranges vs unknowns.

I've never really put as much thought into this as I probably should have as it's quite a good exercise.

These exercises not only help you with your ranges, it also helps you start thinking about what exactly you do with those ranges postflop and exactly what your ranges will be when you call/raise on certain board textures in these spots. Also got me thinking about the frequency in which I just x/f with different parts of my range in these spots.

Hand1: Feel like flop and turn were to big, not sure what my best option is on turn

I like sizing. If anything, it may be too small.

The raise is concerning, of course, but does he have 79? 33? A9?

I feel like calling and seeing if he leads out OTR, but probably gotta err on the side of caution and let it go here more often than not.

yeah pretty weird spot he can have all sets and maybe even random 2p hands but min raise is so fishy and weird and gives me great odds to call.

This may seem tight, but here are my thoughts on the hands you posted:

H1 pretty easy fold
H2 call, if you do not boat turn and villain bets big - fold, call small bet on turn - same for river (you may be ahead, but raising makes you committed to stacking off vs a likely straight)
H3 fold you are usually crushed
H4 fold; bluff catching here would have been bad

This is zoom, right?
1. size looks too big on turn, what we think can call on that board that we beat? TT/JJ/QQ?, which of those usually 3b pre?, i bet half pot and folding to the raise, as played still fold turn,
even if odds are good we are behind so many times that just fold, expecting mostly 68 and sets.
2. X/C flop don't bet, as played call flop.
3. gross, but vs a 16/13 just fold, we only invest 3bb's and will face TJ there so often.
4. fold turn, we need around 28% equity which i don't think we have, as played fold river.
