So what would you consider a realistic goal would be for winnings on a .01-.02 NL games online? We all want to sit down at a .01 .02 online game, buy in for $2 and finish the session with a $10 stack, but that is not realistic. Yes it can be done, but you can not expect to pull that kind of win every time you log on to play. Hell, you would need an awesome run of cards to even pull that type of win off any given session.

What do you think is a good average for a .01-.02 table? If I were to average say .25c on a nightly basis would that be good? Should I shoot for more? Should I be happy with say, a .10c nightly average win rate? What would be happy with? Building a bank roll playing .01-.02 NL can take forever.

if you win 2 buy-ins then call it a day. By the way I would suggest jumping to 5 cent / 10 cent or even 10 cent / 25 cent. you may get a better feel for the game. Also you will take it more seriously.

I am playing on a free roll bank roll from a Cardschat free roll win. I only have $12 to play on. My bank roll is short even for .01-.02.

Realistic for me is 10-15BB/100 if I don't tilt.

But honestly it depends on skill and variance. Just play with a tracker and after a couple of thousands of hands you'll have a rough idea of what's realistic for you.

It's really enough to make one-two stacks, playing about 2000 hands on a few tables every day in the evenings. After a month with more than $60 you can go to 5NL, may be with a half initial stack. And so on...

A realistic goal is to win 10bb/100, as you improve so will your win rate but dont expect to win a lot in the beginning.

Cool, thank you everyone for the replies. It seems if I keep real about things, it is going to take forever grinding micro stakes to build a bank roll.

Good luck. I would like to see result :)
Sometime I spend time at micro stake cash tables and most of the times it is waste of time and money :D ...

gl. 6 buyins is pretty short, but u might make it. but if you have no experience at that limit, it will be hard. i found that it is a crazymix of decent players and maniacs. it will take some time to figure out who is who, but afterwards 2buyins/session should be a good first goal

Well the standard would be, if you are crushing those stakes, 20 cents an hour, but that's just an average- some nights you'll be up two buy-ins and then down 1/2 and so on and so on. You should make a spread sheet with google docs, there are walkthroughs for poker ones like this one(https://www.thoughtco.com/creating-a-simple-results-tracking-spreadsheet-2728429) , that can calculate your hourly rate which is a more realistic measure of your ability than how many buy-ins you won or lost on a single night.

You are right building a bankroll at those stakes can be mind numbing its not like the golden days where you could just stack people left and right and be at .2/.5 in no time and so on. If you think your skill level is above that I'd recommend depositing a bit more and playing at stakes that really engage you rather than wasting away being bored playing for pennies.

The real goal is to learn how to earn good money on poker and be always in the black.

Tonight I sat down at Juice Stakes with $4 at the .02-.04 NL ring and walked away with $7.10. I consider that good. In fact better than average. At least for me.
