Whats your Study/Playing time comparison.

I personally, try to commit 2 hours for every 4-5 hours played.

I am wondering what is a good ratio for this? I am also wondering? Is there sense of too much studying? Like over studying to where it is just boring of reading the same old stuff?

Position, Ranges, equity, etc. What is something that would really, really, help me out in 25NL 6 max

It depends. 2 hours for every 4-5 hours played is probably the minimum. That's often what I spend on a session review alone.

On average it's probably going to be 50-50 or 60-40 between playing and studying.

Once I'll be more convinced of the level of my play that might lower to 75-25 or 80-20 between playing and studying, but never lower than that.

There's no such thing as over-studying. Study is how you get your game to a good level, and study is how you keep it there when the game changes. Just vary it up, and try to focus on one or two aspects at a time instead of just bulldozing through books.

As an aside: no disrespect but what would really help you out at 25NL 6-max is dropping to 5NL 6-max instead. That'll be filled with regs as well but they'll be generally a little worse. Learn to beat that first before jumping into 25NL.

The game is no longer as easy as it was 5-8 years ago (and back then it wasn't as easy as it was 10-15 years ago). Starting from the bottom is often a necessity to improve and eventually crush.

Yeah 5NL so I can make like 5$ an hour that sounds really fun lol. No thank you. The only reason I would see in playing 5 No Limit is to grind like 6 tables at once. Then it would possibly be worth it.

I am actually holding my own on 25 No Limit. Aside from dealing with the bad beats I do pretty good. I have been taking some really bad beats lately though. That is tough to deal with.

BTW: You study pretty hardcore man damn. I didn't know that other opponents are out there putting in the hours that I am as far as studying goes. Interesting ...............hmmmmmmm ...........

Make that 1.5$/hour. ;)
And I mainly suggest that because I'm a stickler for bankroll management. Even a proven winning player needs at least a 750$ bankroll for 25NL. And that's recreationally.

Not all of it is with my nose in books/articles/equity calculators, though.
I count the time I spend reviewing my sessions as "study", and I count some of my time on the forums here as "study" as well.

Also, I've had success this way in the past, so I don't see a reason to change my ways now.

True.

Yeah I just don't see a point in me going to 5NL anymore. I have enough online atm to cover my expenses on 25NL. No not 100 buy ins or something outrageous like that but at least 10 right now. I can't see myself losing 10x buy in......unless I just play some really really bad Poker. (Which in some cases I do)

At this point I'm literally about to remove the all-in command on my computer screen. This is truly my downfall is going all-in with AK before the flop to a 3-bet etc. Just sick of all-in losses and the other players shows up with Pocket Aces. Tired of these 3 way pots before the flop. Some stupid short stack all in and putting me up against a deep stack....

From time to time you may want to consider taking a short recess from studying and allow everything you've been learning to kinda brew in your head. True, there is no such thing as too much studying, but there is such a thing as getting burned out on studies.

I usually try to play 2-3 hours a day and when im home i hardly ever study or read books or do anything poker related that is not involved with this forum, so my poker study at home is mostly discussing poker here on CC. I try to read books at work and sometimes i watch the videos there too.

Lately since i got involved in stacking deal i have a 1hour skype session with coach who is not actual pro coach but pro player and lately i record my screen so i can have it saved, i alst started to take notes beside for everything that i find that is usefull during that session and also after the session, i also tend to watch those recorded materials every day and its by far the most helpful thing i did so far...
