The basic program is really easy to use.
Go to their website and you find the setup instructions for each of the suported
poker rooms.
Follow those instructions then just launch the program before playing.

The basic stats that will be shown are enough to get started.

Hope this helps

about time, learn to use the basic stats before you start getting fancy.

vpip, pfr, 3bet%, fold to 3bet%, cbet%, fold to cbet% probably the most useful ones to have on your hud

If you want to customize your interface, be sure to check the PT3 site's forum for questions already asked. That should help you once you've acclimated yourself to the software.

I worked out how to use PT3 just by playing around with it, its pretty easy to get to grips with. Just play one table while you are tweaking the HUD. And in general I would seriously consider playing less tables, like no more than 4, if you want to improve.

I played to many tables at first and it didn´t go well...
But later i played 4-6 Tables today for 7 straight hours and from 445$ i came up to 550$ while playing NL10, seems so slow if you compare to the action in NL16 and higher, but i want to play safe so i can make my real moves instead of playing scared poker.
So it ended with a profit of +105$ and probably many FPPs and VPPs :D.

And yea one more thing, I got a 600$ deposit bonus which expires in october and i have collected 330$ of the 600$, if lets say i collect 500$ and i am to slow to get the full bonus before october, will i anyway get the 500$ ?
Thanks !

nice result so far. i can remember the first time i played with a hud. i realized i been playing in the dark for much too long.

as for the bonus, i'd email the site. it's stars, correct? they should get back to you with an accurate answer quickly.

Less tables FTW!

As for the bonus, it doesn't matter if you don't complete it because it's paid into your account in $10 increments every 170VPP you earn. If you earn $500 of it by October, that $500 will be already in your account. You don't have to earn the whole thing. Is that the answer you were looking for?

No! It should already be in your account!! Sorry but I think you've had it.

Next time your total VPPs earned go over a multiple of 170, check the cashier and watch it jump up by $10.

That's how it worked for me when I was earning my welcome bonus 6 months ago. Doubt they've changed it.

Work out what the next multiple of 170 is, and check the cashier when you go past it to see if you get the $10.

Congrats with the new program. Besides the HUD, you'll now have the ability to track your own stats and review hand histories that you can filter out based on when you've played well or not. This is a great tool for understanding your poker game and taking it to the next level.

Also, when you have a large enough sample size (50k+ hands) you may want to check out Leak Buster. It will really help you analyze your stats and trouble hands, to point out where you need to improve.

Just curious, why did you decide on PT3 over HM2?

These are some basic HUD arrangements that they provide. Make your own so these stay the way they came.

Might be a good time to start using PT4. It will be the major focus in about a year, and you might as well get used to that primarily. You will get the upgrade free with your very recent PT3 purchase.

You can use them both. At this point (IMHO) the primary advantage with PT4 is the HUD. There are new stats as well, but those are nothing you need to worry about until you get the basics figured out.

Oh yeah, the PT4 set up procedure rocks....

So this is suppose to help you determine how the opponent is playing you by recording their aggression and non aggression stats?
