Ive been playing a lot of 6max lately and Im curious what your raising ranges are for UTG and UTG+1. I have been raising any pair, any 2 paint and occasionally weak aces UTG and UTG+1. Is this a little too loose? When I play FR I tend to play a lot tighter, but when Im playing 6max, it just seems like I kind of go crazy raising a lot of hands.

As with FR, your raising range should grow exponentially as you get closer to the button, but in early position you should be relatively tight, especially if you have solid players behind you who will most likely play their position pretty well against you.

I think {22+, KJ+, AT+} is a good starting point for early position and you can either widen or narrow it based on how comfortable you are playing OOP or how likely you are to get 3-bet/floated etc.

For me I have a range something like 22+, KJs+, ATs, AJo+ and SC's etc. This is usually a stating point and is re-evaluated depending on table dynamics.

It depends on whether its cash or tourny. In cash game, you can be selective and raise with the hands mentioned above. But in 6 max tournies, once the blinds are big enough to steal, any two cards is acceptable enough to raise with if you are confident in your flop play. Thats the way to build stacks and win 6 max tournies

At 6-max tables I play about the same range as Jagsti.
I'll usually dump suited connectors below 6/7 though.
