So I've been trying the hard knock's school of PLO hi/lo, I have read the guides on here and some other stuff in (mostly) beginner's books, but I haven't found anything that particularly satisfies me on how/when to raise pre flop. I have been playing .05/.1 on fulltilt in the evenings, and I have been able to make some observations off of what I have seen unfold at the tables, but I am not sure how to use this or if it is even worth a damn:
1. going all in preflop seems to be bad juju, mostly because it always seems to end in a split pot with one other person and both have less than they started with due to rake, which leads to point two.
2. you either have to have more than one person call you, or you have to be able to make everyone fold, which doesn't happen at this limit, due to again the rake, unless you are 100% positive that you are going to be able to scoop the pot.
3. (it seems like) most people will play any four cards, even trips or quads.
So, how/when do you raise preflop? How much do you raise? If I am sitting in bb with something like JJA2 am I stupid for checking to draw more action when I hit the flop, or should I try to end the hand right there. What about the same hand UTG?
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated, I know that someone here has been playing omaha for more than a few weeks and can help me out.
