Over the weekend 4-5 people got mad at me in tournaments because I always raised before the flop if I was in a hand. Even after I knocked a few them out of the tournament they followed me from table to table. Was kinda annoying but I finished 22nd. I'd have done better but I had to go get my cell phone. (I was 4th. When I left came back I was 60th. Worked up to 1st but always hit the wall at some point.)

I was taught "If its good enough to play its good enough to raise."

And no I don't just play top 10 hands cause then I'd never play. But I don't play the crap hands like J5 offsuit 74 suited etc.

Rant rant rant

If you raise and it pisses other players off and throws them off their game, keep doing it. There are very succesful players who play this loose aggressive strategy.

There will always be people who dislike your seemingly wild play...ignore the, and take their chips after they are tilted over to you...

THe way I see is if it works for you then do it. And you want to piss some of them off to get them off their game. But I will say this there will be days that it will not work for you.

That might do well against mediorcre and bad players. But, be careful with that stategy against a group of good players. You will find yourself getting trapped and lose money quick.

Really depends on the table I'm at. I also believe that calling in general is not a "good" play. On a normal table I will generally raise to prevent limping and catching, especially when the blinds are low. Been at some tables however that this strategy backfires more than it succeeds and when I see this I change up...

I usually raise preflop when i am in a hand and I think it is a good strategy, people that get pissed off at you for doing it probably don't know jack about poker. I raise usually with premium hands and sometimes with mediocre hands, such as middle suited connectors (whic I love to play). I say keep doing what you are doing

Well I usually bet the pot. Which is normally 2.5-5 times the BB.

I am always consistent. AA AK gets same as a 88 or JK suited

Keep raising them. You shouldn't care how people feel about your play when in reality they just dont want to call a raise. It's a good strategy and you should keep doing it.

generally, i raise preflop with a decent hand in good position too. lately, though, i've been getting many callers almost evrtime, who end up catching cards with crap hands...sucks.
