I can't believe what happened to you, I mean you're such a nice guy. You should've kicked that bastard kid in the stroller!

Lol my thoughts exactly!

OP-- running bad & getting coolered suck, but the stakes don't matter here unless you're playing outside of your bankroll/comfort zone. A break definitely sounds like a good idea, but if it's stressing you out enough to snap on others like this then maybe you should play. That's worse than tilt...

Bad beats happen, no need to throw your toys out of the pram! Also I don't see how the guy with AA played this hand terribly, and moving up in the stakes won't help you. It wasn't exactly like you ran into a donk who called a 3 bet with 72o and flopped a boat was it

I was still on tilt from 2 days prior when i called a big raise with small straight 4d 5d and lost to J10 high straight. I started this session with $180 lost $100 then made back $80 I was on a mini roll till i ran into pocket Aces . Sucks when you think you have the best hand set of K;s not realizing i was beat post flop . I need to take a long break because if i head back after 2 consecutive losing sessions and lose again then im telling myself i have an addictive gambling problem Im playing the daily numbers Its cheaper chances of winning are minimal but all it takes is one pick 3 and you made yourself 2 or 3 max buy ins at $1 $2

I think we all have similar situations playing poker to sympathise with you. It was a sick cooler. But at least you were an underdog from the beginning. And while that kind of cooler can get under our skins and make us go on tilt for days and even if we play after a month they are always in the back of our head, you have to let it go, and take it as a man. It may seem like all hell break loose, and you are the most unluckiest man on the planet but in the end of the day you just lost 180$. Are 180$ dollars enough to lose your mind? Does a sick cooler deserve to ruin your everything? The answer is no. Thats exactly why you play with money you can afford to lose, cause its poker and that shit can happen.

Now, here you are some similar situation like yours to ease your pain.

And one with Doug Polk

It can happen to everyone, and its a lose-your-stack hand, so just get over it or if you are not prepared for that bad beats dont quit 1$/2$ cash games but quit poker.

You didn't even get mad at the dealer. Wow... that's sayin' something man. Talk about exercising some serious self control. You got this! Deffo hit up the $5/$10 tables! I mean who wants to play dem bad players on the $1-$2? They so bad they keep on winnin'.

Just wanting to confirm what you're saying here. You play $2,000 games HeadsUp vs. the best players online with expectations of losing but do it so you can study their play against you. Is this correct? If yes... then Why? What is the upside to doing this?

Sounds to me like you don't like the rules of poker and are too emotionally volatile for it - it's probably not for you.

The person who started the thread fuming over losing few hundred or thousand at a sitting and taking bad mood out on everybody outside casino it is not good for his soul
When you sit down at any game you gotta view that money as lost and a bonus if you turn a profit what can you do after crazy buy in games and lose playing with the big boys stuff happens?
Laugh at yourself study the games and pick yourself up enjoy the challenge never gamble the utility and food money.
If won 10000 in a tournament tonight I would have no bother playing that guy CDarwin2 or whoever is registered and waiting for fish like me for three $2000 heads up games because I would enjoy the challenge.
I would not be getting angry with nobody about nothing pointless good luck and mindset required or else do not play:icon_thum

Their was a cop that lost his life saving at the Casino. He commited sucide right there in front of everyone. Point is someone always has it worse. Personally I like to play Lag Tight hand in cash game and I don't bother playing cash unless their is a BBJ ready for me.

So far this year I've lost with pocket kings 20% of time. It happens, we all lose with pocket kings. Just like aces get cracked, kings get cracked as well. It's just a part of the game, no need to be running around punching babies and kicking puppies.

If this makes you feel better, in the the past I flushed an entire bankroll on one hand in a game I had no business sitting in.

Winning is easy. Losing is the tough part. You have to learn to handle losses.
Sounds simple but it takes years and years of mental anguish and busting your rolls to somewhat master your emotions.
Even then, you have to keep on reminding yourself that you can't win everyday

First and foremost, sorry about shitty incident. Upon logging in, your post was the first one I spotted, therefore compelled to read completely; as a similar situation happened to me at about 1 o’clock this morning at the local poker club/casino...except it occurred 2 times within an hour of play:

(To commence: it just so happened to be against the same person both times; an apparently bored-ass guy (like your opponent, he was Asian) that would rebuy in small increments so he’d put himself in more “shoving” times than not. I should have asked him if this was a strategy or if he was just doing it for shits and gigs; but after I tell you his betting decisions/outcomes you wouldn’t want to talk to him either, haha).

1st time:

I’m big blind and he decides to straddle after me, doubling the blinds without even looking at his cards.
The flop comes out all hearts not connected and I happened to pick up two pair.
With his minimal stack, he goes all-in. Thinking he has nothing more than a top pair and not a flush, I call.
He DID have top pair only; but he also paired his other card on the river.
$50 right there...due to unfortunate smart play/a dildo AND a horseshoe stuck up this Asian POS (I’m half Filipino, so in no way am I racist or anything, haha).

2nd time (approx 30 mins later):

Now our chip stacks are even; relatively smaller than any other opponents. It was his preference to rebuy only 30-40% of the Max amount; while Ive been getting that vibe not to add-on based on the overall context of multiple things (another dude that acted/seated after me had 10 times the man ships is anybody else catching river after river after river, etc.).
Me and that Asian dude are coincidentally heads up once again pre-flop after we both call. I catch another two pair after the flop, so this time I decide to go all in after he checked it.
He sits there for a while almost calling time, but then calls. He had a gut shot straight draw that he, once again, got on the river.
Another $50...

Well, it looks like I got to play one more hand than you; but you survived got to an hour longer, lol.

Oh yeah, the following happened on the same day, but with a different table/person:

I’m second-to-last to act with pocket Kings, so I raise 5x the B.B., making it obvious I have a monster. Big guy after me then quadruples MY bet. Based on probabilities, there’s a FRACTION of a percentage point he has AA, so I put him all in and he snap-calls..............only with pocket jacks. Despite my huge advantage, he happens to catch his set on the river: $100: gone.

So yeah man, you can’t get discouraged because of bad luck; as you should be fortunate that it’s not the other way around where you suck at cards and everyone labels you a punk-ass donk/fish.

Best of luck to you and all future endeavors, as I hope I provided any words of wisdom, comfort, familiarity, etc.). Take care man!

“So I kicked the door” lol sorry for your loss but it definitely happens. First time I went to a live casino I was dealt AK suited with a rainbow flow and an ace. I bet , I was re-raised so I threw down a large three bet and the villain called. Turn showed me a K and I placed a small bet, the villain shoved all in and I called. He showed me his pocket aces and I walked out of the room with my tail between my legs lol.
