It seems in these game types overall it's always 4-7 handed action, I play small ball primarily and crush 3 handed game types with higher ev hands like ak suited and QQ. My problem arises not from raises 4 x with ak and flopping 4-9-8 and quitting to what I see as flush or set as the winner its flops like A-4-10-5-9 rainbow with 4-9 or ace 5 as the winner. It usually goes as this I bet say 90 pre flop near or on the button 6 callers. I get that top pair flop and bet out like say 600 to 735 3 callers. The pots about 2700 it's a great turn card for me so I don't back down and bet the pot to 3,200 one guy calls he checked I then again bet the pot he calls and shoves the river all in for 500 and I call on a neutral no flush straight boards to constantly lose to weak 2 pairs to my strong bets sometimes just ludicrous 2 pairs as well. I know don't get married to one pair but it's ace-king on flops that are dry no real straights and I have top pair and kicker shouldn't I essentially just be betting for value assuming I'm good or beat to a set? This isn't just a thing that occurs now and again it seems to happen to much why is this and how is it preventable because top pair top kick ace-king in position good flop why slow down? The way I see it as A-4-10-5-9 that only a really bad player would call with 23 so I keep betting out it's only one in 100 times do they have the wheel sometimes it's A-8-2-9-4 rainbow so good for my hand yet they keep calling and win with 8-9 so should I overbet the pot on the flop 5 x on these boards?
