Okay, just as a disclaimer, I tend to play 2NL (usually 4 tabling nowadays) or 10NL (2 tabling), otherwise, I'll just single table (I play 95% of the time 6-handed). Aside from the fact that it's 6 handed, the fact that I'm multi-tabling is unimportant to my question below.
Those of you who play Zoom on Stars, given the dynamic of the game itself, know that it's really tough to have a read on somebody, unless you play such a volume that you get to know players. I don't play that kind of volume, so my question is based on largely unknown players.
In this situation, I was in the Big Blind. I was dealt Kings, which I will almost always 3bet to isolate a single player, or to build a pot. Plus, the original raiser will put AK into your 3-betting range a large portion of the time. Sure enough, the original raiser raised 3x with 91 bb's behind, and I had him easily covered (237 bb's). I 3bet to 9 bb's, and he piled.
Now, every so often, they're just going to have Aces and I'll have to get lucky to crack them. However, here, he had TT and I won the pot. My question is, is it wrong to think that you should NEVER fold here given that you're ahead of their shoving range, as there are 6 combinations of Aces in that range? Or should I feel happy getting it in?
+EV or -EV to get your chips in with Kings?
