pssst Hey You. Yeah You! Wanna Beat 6-max?

Well me too!

I've read over and over that the best players in the world always say that having a solid core group of poker friends was the biggest contributor to their success. Others like yourself, who play for more than entertainment value. Who can smell blood in the water.

Me and forsakenone are looking for 2 killers to add to the dynamics of our core group.

We are VERY serious about improving. We work really hard on our game.
Sweat sessions
HEM/PT3 stats discussions
HH/replayer analysis
Video discussions
Practice/ Volume
Planning /goal setting

We are creative, innovative, smart, and think logically.
Success, is only a matter of time.

We play 6-max. 10nl currently. 25nl shortly. 50nl /spring 2011. 100nl /Winter 2011.
We also move up/down in stakes regularly.


So here we are. Do you wanna beat 6-max? So do we. Im talking mid stakes/big samples

PM your stats. Sept. and Oct. seperately (me or forsakenone)
non-6-max is a deal breaker.

10nl + welcome (5nl, if you think your worth it)

Hey guys, me and The Dark Side have been doing sweat session for a while now and what is interesting is that someone else can so easily find leaks in your game, and you can find leaks in his game, basically improving really fast by doing this.

So we are thinking of adding 2 more guys to the group and hopefully we can help each other out as much as possible, now i really want to add that this is not going to be one of those groups that get togather and in the end you will have a bunch of people playing different games, one plays sngs, other plays 100nl, someone else is doing freerolls and in the end all we can do is chat about football and movies, now even tho this is fun it won't improve your game by much.

Dark Side is right, a lot of the online pros suggest making a small group like this and just go with it, sweat session, discussing hands, strategies, graphs and even talk about different training videos found on training site, me and Dark Side have been suggesting videos to one another and than we try and apply whatever we think it's best from what we've seen.

So, in the end we want someone who plays 10nl a lot, like almost everyday, plays more than 1 table at once, and is willing to do sweat session every couple of days.

I would love to help my 6max game, I currently am playing 5NL though, can't really move to 10NL with my current bankroll.

Groups like this are awesome. Love what you guys are doing. Just be sure if you have a good discussion on AIM or Skype or whatever, consider turning it into a thread here.

If it comes up, for sure we could do that.

But most of the actual strategy discussions we have are during sweat sessions using voice calls.

Yeah, and I'm sure you'll get into disagreements on what the best play is during your sweats. So when you do, bam, thread idea.

we had a pretty good discussion on when to 3bet a polarized range and when not to, which we beat to death

good to see some poker study on this site at last while iv been away
