So far I played 45k hands of 5NL this month, win rate (EV adjusted) is 4.3 bb/100. Lets say it is what it is, could have been a bit higher but I experimented a bit with playing speculative hands etc.

I am fairly certain I am a winner in 5NL even though I am winning only slightly over 140k hands (since I think I have improved lately, which recent results seem to confirm).

I also used ring game tickets to see what is going on in 10NL:
- 674 hands played
- win rate (EV adjusted) = -25.3 bb/100 :D this is not as horrible as it seems as I was playing with a MSS stack while not exactly following MSS strategy :p

It seems that 10NL is much more aggressive than 5NL, especially when it comes to people playing draws (OESD, FD) aggressively.

What I am wondering is, if I assume I am a 5bb/100 winner in 5NL, what kind of results I can expect in 10NL while playing full stacked? I do expect to improve results over time (I did in 2NL and 5NL).

Basically I am not sure how WR changes when going through levels.

I am well covered when it comes to buyins (70+ BI for 10NL right now) but it seems my playstyle is a bit swingy :rolleyes:

5BB/100 is what you should expect. There will be zero difference in play, only a variation in the ratio of player types at each table. Don't sit at a table where you don't expect to get paid off big. Table select correctly and your WR will be the same if not better (most likely better).

Are you going to make a thread like this everytime you move stakes?

5nl and 10nl are pretty much the same. probs best to just treat them the same instead of trying to overadjust

SM - I hope you are right :) My plan is to change nothing at first and increased aggression doesn't bother me that much really (I know it gets that way higher up).

I would be quite happy if I could break even for the first 50k hands while I learn how regs play.

pocketehs - Well, making 1 new thread every few months is not exactly forum spamming and I think the question is logical. Yes if I even progress further I will probably make a 25NL thread :D sorry if it will bother you.

You'll be fine. Just eliminate your tendency to over-think your opponents. They're bad. Take advantage of that fact.

I can confirm what is posted above, at first not look like the same but they are.

Been mixing all month 5nl/10nl and my results are.
@5nl: 5.23 evbb/100
@10nl: 5.19 evbb/100

Just make sure to color code players and table select.

Thanks guys :)

I count on learning something from John A study group to help with my struggles and of course you can expect an influx of threads in HH forum :p
