pot odds question

I was wondering where the cutoff for +EV was when it came to button plays with a lot of limpers. For example playing at a NL 0.05/0.10 table, 9 handed. What sort of cards would you limp in with assuming the blinds are chronic weak players.

K7o ?
unsuited connectors like 78o ?
Q7 suited?

Same question for small blinds, if there are a lot of limpers and you can see a flop for like 15-1 on your money would you play almost any hand whatsoever?

Or is limping bad no matter what?

This past 2 days I limped in with some real sucker fish hands and completely cleaned out 3 people when I hit some monsters, plus it's real easy to lay down the junk when it misses. In the long term probability I'm wondering if betting 0.05 to possibly win $5 is good or not, considering the odds of hitting 2 pair etc. are not good.

This probably only works at these levels because it's easy to get paid off big.

It works when playing weak players because you rarely need to pay anything other than the BB to see the flop. If you are playing against opponents who are half decent you won't have a chance to limp for the BB because someone befoer you would have likely raised to 3 or 4 X the BB.

everything is relative ALWAYS. there is no reason whatsoever to preflop muck 15-1 for your money. pot odds is something that always needs to be in the back of your head but in conjunction with implied odds. for instance the gun raises small say 25 cents and 5 people call, i'd play any connectors here and muck most high cards reason being is where its right to call 25 with ace king you can easily get out floped where with a small connector like 67s you have a better chance to win the hand preflop than the ace king here(do the math and expect at least one to have a j & q &k & a, not to say more than one over lap) the smaller connectors have a very good chance of winning vs more playes and the ability to dump a miss. POT ODDS aren't every thing i like the ability to wreck my opponents stack if i hit. My 2 cents

Huh? Since when is 6,7 suited a better chance to win then A,K?
% wise A,K anyday over 6,7 suited.

look at the post and do the math with lots of over callers into a pot it is mathmaticaly correect to muck high cards and play low connectors. reason being that its genenerally excepted that every over caller will have one card btween 10 and ace so your cards over lap, making any flop but ACE ACE KING extremely scarey. ok so i have a question for you can you tell me the hand with the best win % against aces? same math applies with over callers

Don't even go there.. it is 10.9 suited.. apparently you haven't checked your %'s of 6.7 suited winning vs multiple hands vs A,K vs multiple hands

There is a diffrence from hoping your opponets all have over cards vs your opponents having high pocket pairs

it acually isn't its 87s but you can think what ever you want homie thing is with over callers pot odds play better with lower cards thats all. you play your way ill play mine. i just think pppl should realize when to drop hands they wanna do stuff with. and yes big pairs are a sleeper and to be respected, but that just indicates less of a call with aces king and more with low connectors.(i consider qs a high pair)

oh and the reason why it isn't 10 9 is that the 10 overlaps,

don't get deffensive man no reason to you play ace king there i fold it with 5 overcallers, both can be respected as right. and in a two man hand i NEVER play 67s but when POT ODDS dictate to do so in a cash game i can't get my money in fast enuff. i wouldn't even play this in a mtt or sng were pot odds are not as important as your stack.

10.9 over laps? huh? think about it

what are the straights that end and start at? the 5 and the 10.. reason being ... a through 5 ... 5-10 and 10 through ace... now look where 10 falls compared to the 5.. 10.9 suited has a 21% of winning vs aa's which is your best bet compared to any other hand like KK's or QQ's.

almost sure i was done with this but what ever. i did the math you are right by less than one percent. and still haven't found the point in my post, anyway point is i'm not one of you new age rocks, i'm a player first wich means any way i can make money of the wanna bes i will and in a cash game i'm not gonna find hand to get commited to i'm gonna play every angle i can. again this policy is not meant for tuourney play. anyway you can be right from now on ill be the guy with no job grinding his bills out.

poettic1 -your poker donky

p.s i don't do things cause doyl says so, i read his book because it sold 2 milloin copies that means the new money are going to play a lil like that, and the old money needs to beat it, i got em all man even stacked, ill do whatever it takes to keep my lively hood up.
