Pot Odds Basics.

Can someone run me throguh the basics of pot odds, like i know a pair vs an under pair is favoured to win 82% of the time which is 4:1 so there should be 41 dollars in the pot for every 10 I need to call. Can anyone simplify this and use some examples im stuggling on this tpoic

I'm actually working on an "odds for dummies" article at the moment. If you want to be my test-drive-dummy, so to speak, and tell me if what I write makes sense, that would be great. You're the target audience, after all.

May I also become part of the target audience? I would really appreciate an article where odds are well explained. It keeps freaking me out when I need to act real quick and calculate odds and watch for tells and all this under stress... And I am not really too good at math
