I've been playing a lot of omaha lately to get a feel for the game. I'm looking for thought on opening with one pair suited connectors?

When playing omaha you have to remeber depending on how many players are at the table every player has four cards there is not many cards the won't be used. There fore there will be alot of good hands in play four of a kinds full houses flushes straights even straight flushes becareful

Recently won a plomaha freeroll its always been my worst game but I was hitting trips and 4 of a kinds unreal but I would recommend having pairs and suited to call if you hit fine dont blow all your chips to see and if you hit fine but dont stay and waste all your chips.

One of my favorite games.

I try to open with straight (at least three coordinated cards) and flush draws. Never to pairs unless it's cheap. Even Aces up is usually not good enough to win.

I luv PLO I play it everyday I like to come in with double suited connectors. Pairs are ok but as long as you have something to play them with if you dont flop a set there usually no good unless there is 3 of a king on board..

Not really a good hand to start with. Totally different from Holdem. You are lucky to get a hand with 2 pair in any Pot Limit Omaha.

A lot of people aren't that great at PLO at some of the early tables, so if you can get really good command of the game you can make some serious profit, yet beware, there's a LOT of swings in PLO, too much for my liking really.. I'll just stick to Omaha 8 in horse. :p

to be perfectly honest, i play a lot of PLO and pairs suck unless you have connectors and suited aces....other than that, i'd stear clear of pairs
