So, what table layout would you like given the following players, given game is 4nl-10nl.

V1 - Passive calling station - losing player
V2 - Passive calling station - losing player
V3 - TAG - winning player
V4 - TAG - winning player
V5 - LAG - little known

Personally I would prefer

V3
V4
V5
V1
V2
Hero

Ie we have postition 5/6 times on V2, and V3 has position 5/6 times on us.

Reasoning, money moves clockwise, we have direct position on one losing player and second position on the other. The LAG player might be able to feed their money to V1&V2 when they get called down by ATC.

V3 and V4 are good players that have position on us. The key here is that they and hero are tight, so they will not be in a lot of hands together, and being TAG at these stakes they will likely be playing their hand pretty face up.

Thoughts?

I would hate playing vs 2 winners out of 5 players, proportion is too high and if they are smart they will destroy you when you try to isolate wide. Exchange winning TAGs with nits and you have it made here.

Otherwise your idea is good.

Position is everything. Why wouldn't you want that advantage over the better players at the table? The weak players will make enough mistakes. Let them have position because, if they're truly losing players, they probably don't know how to use it anyway.

sat to the right of Phil Ivey in a wsop NL holdem tournament this summer.

Needless to say, it wasn't very fun when you raise and he just reraises you.
