Hi folks, well, as you said the title I have great doubt polarize I do not know if it is profitable or not, I mean. I carry a polarizing enough time in my 3bets blind and I decided to check if it is profitable or not with the HM but have several questions. Few hands need to be a reliable sample in BB ?? I used the filter Did 3bet = true; and eliminating selected offsuited Premiuns hands. With these filters I tried to see if the hand ends when viewed preflop and flop. The result is as follows for BB: Hero saw flop false = + 10bb (500muestras); Hero saw flop true = -520bb (200muestras).

In total you are losing 700muestras BB 101bbs with filter Did 3bet = true; selected offsuited hands. They are enough to stop polarizing because despite winning postflop preflop makes me lose a lot ????

I've done the same with suited hands and resutaldo is the opposite since I was very profitable in a similar sample:trytofly:

Many people 3bet a polarized range, and swear by it. I strongly prefer a merged range, skewed somewhat towards strong hands. I would rather have enough medium strength hands to win fairly often when people call. I also think it makes their decisions harder. It is not just nuts or bluff. Still bluffing some garbage, but mostly saving those hands for people who fold to pressure very often.

How are you polarizing your 3bets? A lot of people get the misconception that polarizing your 3bets means to 3bet in the blinds to squeeze someone off a hand.. or at least I did. This is SOMEWHAT true, but is a very costly leak if done wrong. Now, I try to keep my polarized 3bet range IN position whether it be against a reg, fish, or LAG player.

3betting gives you the initiative, and if done in position-- you can represent a stronger hand than you may have. It allows bluffing opportunities and value betting when you do hit. Next time you play, try to not 3bet as much in the SB or BB to try to squeeze someone off a hand. Keep your 3bets in position and play the board texture.

For the micros none of that is needed , if you are playing higher to medium steaks it starts to become dependent on your opponents . Polarizing is another tool to adjust to your opponents range .
