Hey everyone, I just downloaded this software and I'm considering buying it after the 60day trial expires. Actually, I've read the articles listed in the Reference Guide in Poker General, and I understand the meaning of most of PT's options.
The thing I wanted to know, is how to 'pattern' the stats of certain opponents and also myself. Is there a guide to standarize the stats in order to place a player in a certain category?
For example, I have recently moved up to NL25 and in the course of 2k hands (small sample, I know) I've ran 18/14/4.3. How should I be placed?
I'll appreciate any responses.

At 6max, I'd say it generally goes like so (preflop):

VPIP

Nitty: 15% or less
Tight: 20% or less
Fairly solid: 25% or less
Laggy: 30% or less
Fish: anything higher than 40%

Its pretty rare for a player to run higher than 40% and not have serious problems with their game.

For Full ring, less than 12% is nitty, 12-17 is pretty TAG, and loose is like 20% or more.

Solid players generally have a VPIP/PFR ratio of at most 2.

Btw, check out the trial of hold'em manager as well. I prefer it to PT3 since the HUD is a lot easier to setup & customize on Ultimatebet.

Btw - If you're short stacking on FR @25$ NL, you should probably be a bit tighter than 18/14, since a lot of your implied odds hands go out the window.

Thanks c9 for the response. Actually I've started playing full ring 25NL with 50bb+. Do you happen to have the same stats but for FR? It'll be appreciated very much.

Quick question, what program would you guys recommend? I've always used Holdem Indicator but a lot of people say PokerTracker is quite good as well. Any thoughts?
