The next set of questions presents to you several situations in a game of Texas Hold Em style Poker. In these situations, you can assume that you are attempting to bluff at the pot. Please select the answer that you are most likely to carry out if you were presented the same situation. If a situation is completely against your style of play, please reconsider the question and chose the course of action you feel will have the best outcome.

Terms:
J: Jack
Q: Queen
K: King
Os: Off Suited
S: suited
Nuts: The best hand possible at this time.
On the Button: The position that is right in front of the Small and Big Blinds preflop and is last to act after the flop.

Question 1:
A player that you know to be tight and aggressive is in a hand with you on the flop. You hold J 3 os and are last to act. The board is 2, 5, 8 with no suited cards. You:

1) Bet out 2X the pot to try and win it right there.
2) Bet about ½ the pot to show a Value Bet.

Question 2:
You hold Pocket Aces and are in a hand with two other people. The board is A, 3, 7. You are first to act and:

1) Check your option to trap the others.
2) Bet 1/3 of the Pot to get more money in.
3) Bet big, hoping that someone thinks that you are bluffing, or has another Ace.

Question 3:
In the same hand as Question 2, you find yourself and one other player in the hand after the River. The board is A, 3, 7, 4, 6, with three Spades. You:

1) Feel confident in your three aces and bet big.
2) Slow down your play, only to reraise the opponent when he bets.
3) Bet ½ of the pot to show a Value Bet.

Question 4:
You are in a hand with 3 other players. You do not believe that any of them have hit the flop of 2, 5, 3. You have paired your 2 and act first. You:

1) Bet big to get the players out of the pot.
2) Check and see if an opponent will bet into you so you can reraise.
3) Check and call a bet to see the turn.
4) See the turn of 4 and bluff that you have a Straight.

Question 5:
You and one other opponent are in a hand. You miss the flop and think that he is holding weak cards. You:
1) Check your option and reraise his bet.
2) Bet big to take the pot
3) Check and call his bet to see the turn, and then bluff.

In your own words, please describe your bluffing style, strategy, and/or theory. Any addition comments are very much valued and greatly appreciated.

I don't follow directions well...

OP did remind me of some moral dilemmas I've faced:

Senior week, partying with friends in OC Maryland. We get on a bus and I snag a back seat to myself. No one sits across from me. Driver shuts the door and pulls out into traffic. In the seat is a wallet with $180...

I go shopping and pile what I estimate to be $300 worth of tools and a tool box into my cart. Checking out, crowded/confusing, my wife is running her mouth and I hand the cashier my CC without hearing the total. While loading the car I realise that the cashier neglected to ring about $120 worth of stuff...

Not a moral dilemma but funny story:

Heading home through a small neighborhood I get pulled over doing 40-45 in a 25mph zone. I tell the cop I've got no excuse. I was coming back from surfing, feeling good, top down, beautiful day and didn't even notice my speed. A guy on a bike comes over to us and says, "Officer, I just want to thank you for busting this guy. We're sick of these assholes coming through our neighborhood like they own the freakin' place..." The cop looks at the guy, hands me my ID, and says, "Try and keep your speed down, sir. Have a nice day."

Questions 2 and 3 in the first section are ambiguous. Were we actually speeding? Did we do our homework? Or is it intentional that we not be given this information?

These poker questions make me sad. None of the questions have enough information to make good decisions. Did we raise preflop? Is one of the players from the blinds? Have other people seen us show down bluffs recently?

I am TP player. I am being bluffed off the hand very easily. At least I think so. When flop misses me I feel like the flop usually hit my oppionent. When they raise I fold even holding AK like hand. I need to improve my game significantly. Potentially I hope to learn how to bluff good because I am a liar by nature thus I hope to be a good bluffer :joyman:
