Harrintons new two book series on NL Tourneys is the best I have read on NL Tourney play.

I just started reading the 2nd edition today.

The first edition takes you through the first half of a Tourney and the 2nd edition takes you the rest of the way. Both are aout 450 pages each.

Sklansky is a master of the numbers.

What are Harrington's new books called? I'm looking for a good NL book as the one's I've read have been more directed towards limit. Since I play more NL I'd be ecstatic to find a good book on it.

Harrington on Holdem is the name of the books. Amazon has them both and you can probably buy them on there as a set and save a couple dollors.

Super System is a must read. The thing I didn't like about Super System 2 is that the NL Holdem section by Doyle was basicaly the same as The Original Super System.

Abdul Jalil deserves to be on this list

These are certainly the great poker authors, but Abdul Jalib deserves a spot. His preflop strategy turned a lot of heads. I believe his essays are also very highly regarded, even by the the other authors you have mentioned.

I don't really care what anyone says negative about him, the NLHE section of Phil Hellmuth's Play Poker Like the Pros is a great tool for understanding the mindset and play of one of the greatest No Limit tournament players in history. Love him or hate him, you have to give him his credit.
