Clearly I'm far to passive here I think that was the problem. Are we pushing all day post flop if we are re-raised post flop? Or like me (Put them on trips?) Then just passively calling their raises to save as much money as possible? Was it played really badly? I couldn't really put down my top pairs here..

I put my aces hand with villain on trips and the Kings I put them on flush.

I will post the showdown results once I've heard people opinions, thanks!

If you think that they very likely have trips then you are not saving any money by calling.

I think what you need to do is to sit down and plug your interpretation of their range into Poker Stove

Well the way I was raised after I bet with top put me to the assumption..

Here is the final hand of Aces.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
Siritho: shows [Ts Jh] (a pair of Tens)
ramdeebam: shows [As Ac] (a pair of Aces)
ramdeebam collected $6.43 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $6.75 | Rake $0.32
Board [Th 3c 8c 5d Qh]

Now Kings.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
eduardos79: shows [9s 9c] (a pair of Nines)
ramdeebam: shows [Kh Kc] (a pair of Kings)
ramdeebam collected $10.42 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $10.95 | Rake $0.53
Board [Jd 8h Th 6h 5s]

Now they had a middle pair and thought it was good, what was my best thing to do in the situation? Push? I don't understand what they are trying to rep. Trips or something or just think their top pair is good even though they was RAISED PF and flop etc.

This is one of the biggest dangers at 2nl. Sometimes idiot donkeys think their pair is the nuts and play accordingly. I've had dozens of times when I've called all-ins on scary boards with AA or KK to find villain had a middle pp like TT, 99 or even 77. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes and shove and hope for the best. Since AA makes me so much money I take the risk of running into a set or 2 pair as the cost of doing business. With KK I usually will not get AI on an A high board. Since KK is my 2nd biggest money maker I feel that getting bluffed out of a pot occasionally by someone betting or raising on 2 streets is a small price to pay for the hand being a long term winner. I figure that any reasonable range from Nit to SLAG will have an A in a high enough percentage of their hand combos that the times you lose a big pot with KK vs a split pair of Aces more than outwieighs folding the best hand. With QQ I have become really good at ditching the hand preflop against 3bets or postflop vs alot of aggression, even when I have an overpair as the times you run into a higher overpair. set , 2 pair or a draw that makes it by the river make it not worth going broke with.

You'll go through stretches where AA doesn't hold up, even when you are AI & HU preflop. You'll also go through stretches where it seems like you're running into AA or every flop contains an Ace but think long term.

Some Philosophy students say all Philosophy is nothing but footnotes to Plato. Well in NLHE all hands but AA & KK are speculative hands. Risk going broke with the Big 2 and don't risk it with everything else and you'll be a long term winner.

Ask yourself what range of hands someone would happily stack off with when there is an ace on the board.

If you come up with a range that you ar eahead of when including all sets, 2pair combos present and the possible AA then just carry on as is.

If you dont think people are stacking off with the range that is wide enough for you to be ahead, stop stacking off.

Why an Ace on the board? I was holding AK in middle pos. I standard raised and this guy who just sat down flatted me in the BB with AA. K10x rainbow on the flop, he insta shoved and i called. Sorry if its me that doesn't get your post.

Well what do you think you beat?

How big a portion of his entire range does that represent?

Against some1 who just sat down, i would reckon this is a must call, unless i put him on K10 specifically. I guess i cant et away from this situation. i guess i was just a little shell shocked that like 2 or 3 people did that to me in one day =P
