Hi guys, so ive been 6 tabling 100NL on pokerstars and ive been losing, and one of the big problems i got is playing out of position hands like AQ,AJ,KQ,QJ,KJ,Q10;J10,Q10 because if a lot of times i know they will have a huge range, 40%+ sometimes and if i call ill be on the defensive all the hand and i have been noticing that the flop check raise isnt as effective as i thought. If i do 3bet and they 4bet me, ill probably shove the AQ maybe AJ but all the other hands are tough because i m not confortable shoving and for sure i wont just call the 4bet, so tell me guys what you think is the best way to play these hands, and playing out of position overall and 100Nl strategy if you want to. Thanks

Hi,

I'm only a beginner so you might want to get some more detailed advice from some of the more experienced players on here, however - a couple of questions if that's ok?

- What style do you play TAG, LAG, do you have your average stats, what's your perceived image? (Are people aware of your range out of position?)

- Isn't villain with a 40% range a huge fish at 100NL, or maybe a small-ball player? - should you modify your strategy to take this into account? (Reduce bluff attempts, more value betting?)

- If you've identified that playing those hands out of position is the problem, would it be a nice simple fix to tighten up in those spots? Do you need to play those hands, are they +EV?

Thanks

You will get better results from your posts if you narrow down the exact situation.
For example I have KQ and a 40% stealer opens the button. I call in the bb. I check raise a 9Tx and he calls. Turn is an Ace should I double barrel. Yes you should.

The questions you ask are what seperates losers from the pros. Medium strength hands OOP are the most troublesome.

Play 4NL and build your roll and skill to the point where you aren't confused about these situations.

That one guy happens to know what he is talking about. Your first posts gives us enough information to know that you can't handle regulars at 100NL and that you shouldn't be playing that limit.

no offense but if you are struggling with pretty general spots you are going to get killed at 100nl

Don't play these out of position, simple.

Though going by that strictly on 100nl is likely exploitable given the high skill level.

Almost never calling these out of position against regs in micros is fine play though.

11626 hands, Net Won -372,69, Net won(Ev Adjusted) +213,92

Is this a normal difference, ive been pretty unlucky losing AA vs JJ, KK vs AK and KK vs A4o all in the same session

Meh depends tbh lol ur 6BI below EV over a small amount of hands so ya youre running bad in some spots but is it all based on AIPF spots? No. You could be spewing or taking some high variance lines post flop.

It sucks but thats why we use BRM :)

and ya move to like something around 10NL. I heard in a vid the other day that for beginners it makes way more sense to start with a roll at like 10NL and learn the game rather than pay for your mistakes at at higher limit like 100NL

stop 3bet 5betting AJ vs regs

move down

umm, move down

but seriously, move down

great to know you've read all these books, but you're still struggling with the game it seems, so playing for a decent amount of money makes no sense when you're gonna be outplayed by regs all the time

people on here are playing 2nl and dont ask these questions anymore.. just sayin'

Yeah man. How the **** are we supposed to help you when you lack some of the most basic strategy. Learning fundamentals at one of the most reg infested limits will get you slaughtered. But you seem to know better. Just post your screen name so 9K can bumhunt you please, and I'll sweat it for the lols.
