Always going to 3 bet AA KK...Been running into bad spots with 22-99. Are you folding these hands in the blinds? Specific situation is there was an initial raise and a 3bet. You are in the blinds with 22-99 automatic fold? Folding 1010-QQ in this spot as well?

Depends where the raise comes from for the sb to decide how to play them and in the bb i would defend all pp's. But it also depends who the villain is that's raising.

What prevents to play these hands through a check-call in order to catch a set?

Paying an aggressive rally with such hands is not enough, but if the villains give a cheap look at the flop - why not?
