I've been playing more Omaha Hi as of late. I get the overall general concepts of the game. I understand it's a game of outs...you wanna have a lot going on with the four cards in your hand so no matter what comes out on the flop, you have outs and options. My question is: Does anyone have any advice for playing hands preflop? My general strategy is just to limp in when possible and try to see the flop for cheap.

I want to try to read your guys' thoughts, opinions, and advice on when to call, when to raise, how much to raise, etc. Let me know if you have any advice or know of any materials online I could take a look at with help on the matter. Thanks!

Will in omaha some people play crazy pre-flop, so I play patiently for a good hand. Like at least a hand with a one pair or connectors.

In the articles section of this website there are many tips and strategies for omaha hi/lo that you will find very interesting. They talk also about starting hands. I'm sure you will find them very interesting. Read those and then if you have any more questions just ask.

I prefer to limp also. If I have a great hand, I have watched and if it hangs in there, the pots will always be bigger than if I raise with em.

Not just me, but Omaha was a game I learned before I learned holdem, and I had been watching and noting that.

However, I prefered Hi/Lo. And it may be that the betting in hi/lo is what shows that tendency.

You might watch Mike the mouth on FT play Omaha Hi, I have, and noticed lots of PF raiseing, and folding.
