Hi there.

I have been playing the micros (2nl, 5nl, and before i had to move back down to 5nl - 10nl) and i started with £7 and have made it up to £100 over the last year or two which i think is not that bad, but i really would have hoped for better. The main reason i made my first £100 was from playing off starter bonuses and the missions at partypoker. Now i have completed all the missions, i have to play serious grinding poker and i have got up to £200 in a week, then grinded it back down to £100, as i just played the same strategy the whole time but it only depends on the cards i get.

Now the game i usually play is fastforward at partypoker and my strategy is tight aggressive and i look for thin value spots, however i play without any stats at all, and on fastforward you cant make any solid notes on players as the come and go so quickly. So the times that i dont have a good hand and i take the lead preflop, i am consistently losing money when i continue on an uncoordinated flop, get called and i always just check it down to save losing money.

E.G:

I open UTG with a-ks and get called by the button.

Flop comes j-7-3 rainbow without my suit.

I bet 2/3 the pot and the button calls.

The turn comes a blank. WHAT DO I DO??? this situation occurs so unbelievably often that it really has a big effect on me making money leaving me breaking-even losing for the session. Without any stats like pokertracker, i dont know how often he folds to turn bets etc.

Also i struggle pre-flop against unknowns with hands like a-q when they open and i dont know how often theyre raising, and on the flop i dont know how often theyre continuing.

And without knowing these things i really struggle making money, apart from the times when im on a upswing when people just shove into me when i have aces or with my opponent getting his stack in when i have quads.

Does anyone have any suggestions what to do? BUYING A SOFTWARE IS NOT AN OPTION DONT ASK WHY I JUST AM NOT GETTING ONE.

Thank you

Get the free version of Jivaro. That's what I use. It's pretty decent for a freeware. It records the basic stats-VPIP, PFR and Aggression Factor. I'm not 100% sure whether it is compatible with Partypoker though.

I had to look up what "fast forward" was. I'd suggest either staying away from it, or really nit it up.

I also play "micros", and without stats since the site I play at doesn't offer that option unless you install their App, which only tuns on Win-d'ohs, and I haven't touched a Win-doesn't system in fifteen years. They keep promising "someday", like, forever. So I have no idea what either my stats look like, or what theirs look like, and I couldn't care less.

I play 'em like live cash: observe, get a line on their play, and exploit their mistakes. I know who all the reg-fish are, the very few regs I respect, and the one or two other otters I need to really watch out for, and when to take these to Level-3 when playing a pot with them is unavoidable. Stats tell you what they did in the past, but you need to know what they're doing now, and there is no substitute for watching and learning. He could be playing a different style today for any number of reasons, up to and including, he's getting better.

In "WHAT DO I DO???" situations, your best option is to fold. You lose a ton in those kinds of situations by calling. Those saved calls do add up over time.
