Are there people who not can but do play cash games and make grind it out and make a living. I know tournament poker is the more exposed game to the world but can cash games actually be more lucrative.

Not sure i quite understand what you are asking, but yes, there are lots of cash game grinders who do mainly ring games. It is a much more stable job than tournament poker, where you have the potential to make a huge score, but are often going away empty handed.

i was wondering the same thing. but i guess there are players who live from cash games. the real question is in fact how much profitable tournaments are compared to cash games, knowing it can go years without having a big score.

tourney = $50buy-in 1st place approx. $800-1200 depending on # of players (50-70) 4hr playtime

Cash Table = My personal best sit-in.. $40 to sit in 15min cash-out $1000

I think the potential for a big win is higher in tournaments than cash games. Personal experience
