I have noticed and experienced myself that sometimes playing Aces or going all-in with them, isn't always a good outcome. So.. what should I do? I know I should play them, but how far should I go? If someone goes all-in before the flop.. should I call anyway? I admit.. when I do get it, I always play it before the flop, sometimes I stay unless they are betting crazy.. Tks

Yea I have the same problems with A's. I either get no money from them or I get cracked for not betting enough. A's have given me more problems then chips.

Aces are just one pair and easily beaten. Play the aces aggressively preflop and if you have a bad feeling about the flop let it go, just fold. X

Of course you MUST call an all-in bet pre-flop with Aces!! You must even pray for your opponent to do this bet !!!!

If someone goes allin, dont think twice about calling! come on its pocket
aces. The odds are way in your favor... About hot to play them, you should
almost always raise before the flop, 99 % of the time. the reason for this
is because you want money to acumulate in the pot, and also you dont want
any limpers to catch anything, so you get them out of the hand, unless
they want to pay with their kind of hand, which is even better for you!
thats the general way people place aces, and what comes on the turn and
river varies, but you dont want to go finish too much, unless you find that
the circumstances are perfect.

Especially in online poker, unless you are spending a lot of time with good, attentive players it's a waste of time & money to do different things that don't involve getting chips in the middle of the table with poc A's.

There is absolutely nothing that I 'MUST' do on a poker table except make my play when it gets to me.

I know of a lot of situations and positions that I would NOT call an all-in pre-flop. Cash/ring games - I would call. MTT's, not me, unless I really don't care whether I bust out or not. I prefer to play my cards and not just turn them, and my chips, over to Lady Luck.

example if somone has gone all in and gotten a caller your odds of winning has gone way down if you call also.
bubble in a satilite game is another time you might want to fold AA
i find it easy to say, but i find it hard to do.as chic said it is only 1 pair and 1 pair dosn't play well by the river.

I have always had good luck with pocket aces, and yeah they do get cracked once in a while, but that is only 20% of the time. So I will always play them unless I am certain that someone has floped a better hand. The ones I have trouble with is AK, I can rarely make them work, they are like my worst two cards to get. I just never can seem to play them correctly when ever I get them.

EXACTLY, plus everyone here saying you must call...what about when 2 or 3 call before you...or maybe after. There is no must, ever. Aces play good heads up, once you have others...watch out, and be ready to fold if needed.

Yeah, what Richko said, anytime you get delt pocket aces and someone moves allin pre-flop you should definately call. Dont even think about it.
I mean if you lose pre-flop with them THATS POKER, but anytime you get
in a hand with them with 2 or more callers then you should definately watch out and be prepared to fold them if you feel weary about the flop.
I hope this helps you out and i look forward to seeing you on the felt.

All in preflop with Pocket A's.

Some like it.

Some don't.

I would rather see the Flop first.
But it's all situational like most things in Hold em.

Pocket A's:

They get cracked from time to time no matter how you play it.
Remember pocket A's are nothing more then a Pair.
A Very nice pair.
But still just a pair.

Roller:
If something doesn't feel right try and make a Great Lay Down.

Do not expect to double up all the time.
Try to play Aces just against one player. Otherwise you are risking to loose them...
How you play them depends on many points. The situation at the table, the chip stacks, the players, your position, your image at the table, etc.....

If there was a 100% correct way to play A's then nobody would ever losse with them. You have to play them based on your knowledge or lack of knowledge of the other players, your position, your chip size etc etc. Every way that they have been played they have won and they have lost

if the only problem you have is playing aces, you are in good shape.

they are the best pair pre flop after that well u have to go all the way with them by pushing or slow play but remember by slow playing gives more oppurtunity for the other players to beat you
