Lets say you get dealt QQ. You place a strong bet and get a caller. flop comes, A 2 6. You are worried about the ace and you raise to see if the caller has the ace. There is a good chance he precalled with something like ace and high kicker. the caller reraises allin, a common mistke i see is when the person with the QQ calls the allin then loses big. A good poker play can fold the reraise.

Any other tips i can learn from??

you make a big bet with a high PP in LP and get 1 caller, flop comes all low cards, EP checks, you make a c-bet, EP comes over the top.
EP will most likely have hit a set, my experience anyway.

but i dont think you would call with good low cards unless there lots of callers to make it worthwhile and boost your chances

The thing about them high pocket pairs is they look awful purdy sittin all by themselves in yur hand. When you lay em down next to the rest of the board often times they ain't so purdy anymore.

Also, i think i've won more times with pocket twos than aces. I always get so unlucky with the aces it's very frustrating

With big pocket pairs, often expectations are high leadiing to big bets and all ins like you describe. I try to temper my expectations (although this doesn't always happen!). Sure, great starting hands but post flop requires good analysis and reading of your opponents like any hand you are dealt.

You should not be betting for information on that flop. Read this thread, it is very good:

bw07507, your example is different. Op is out of position, not in position. Betting out is correct there. If raised, u can usualy give up.

yea if depends on the position of the other player a lot, most people also are not able to fold for some strange reason when the have a high PP

Do the other players at the table view you as weak or strong? How have you been playing? Most of the time, yes they do have the ace, of they have hit a set. Folding is the hardest play to learn.
