i try to stay aggresive yet smart from the first card dealt but its tuff to keep all your chips when donlies call anything and suck out huge pots.I notice that bigger games seem to eliminate some of that.

The best bit of advice i ever read was " Only do what the cards say to do" in other words dont get fancy just play good quality starting hands until the later stages

I think you could raise in that tournaments with the following hands:
- Ace anything. But suited only!
- Suited connectors down to nine-eight.
- Two Face Cards.
- Pocket Pairs down to six.

I think you could do that and make a big stack when doing that.

My strategy (mostly $5, $10, $26 MTT) would be sit very tight in the beginning blind rounds. Raising in position with big hands (I don't suggest always raising with Ax suited, you will get caught by a better kicker eventually) and calling in early position with decent hands, especially suited connectors. If it is raised big to you after you limp, let it go.

When the blinds start climbing this is where my aggression actually comes in. If I have been at the same table, I have developed a tight image and only showing down winners. I'll start raising in position much more often, and raising out of position with good cards. I'll play strong, cbet the flop with about a pot size raise. If they play back and I feel I am beat, I let it go.

My biggest advice is.. be able to let go of your hands! This was my problem in the past and I've started to lay down bigger hands. QK and I call a raise, and a K or Q comes out, I have laid it down now. They usually show me their AK also.

When the bubble comes around you have to stay aggressive. You will chip up extremely fast because people tend to be very tight. If you get played back at, slow down.

Hope this helps.
