How many of these guys do you think will be at it... It can be quite frustrating you get it in 50NL and frequently in 100NL

there have been a few occasions where I've convicned myself hes deliberately trying to target me. I've looked him up - flat called him to his surprise and watched him shut down on the flop shocked that I've called his stupidly big 3-bet. and took the pot down there with a 2/3 size bet.

I rarely do this and would never want to start applying hero calls to my strategy due to the swings involved but on occasion they have really over stepped the mark and Im not the kind of guy to let someone run over the table to an obvious point of taking the pi**

Does anyone else find this irratating.. and how would you usually react to this type of player?

Oh yea and to also Note this would be primarilly 6 max so they will less often have a premium hand

Dunno about 50NL but I have noticed that frequent 3bettors often have little idea what to do post flop especially OOP (people who 3bet from blinds way too much).

As for sizing, it is exploitable for sure. Either 4bet and GII with better range than his stackoff range (after a while it will clarify) or do what you do especially if you are IP.

Problem with big sizing is that while he gets more folds he also needs more to break even and against people who know how to analyze his play I just don't see it happening.

Thats my suspicions Its more likely to be a player who doesn't have an accurate idea on 3-betting and has applied their own aggressive style without studying the game in depth.
Surprisingly there are prob alot of aggressive players with this problem.

I think for me one of the best ways to counter-act the style would be having a good sample of info on them to determine whether they are over betting their big hands and their bluffs or if they are capable of 3-betting for value with big hands or even playing it weak.
Alot of inexperienced aggressive players in my experience trap with the nuts and try to take down anything they dont want to showodwn

Are you saying 3-bet is a lot?
I thought that is the standard pre-flop bet.
