The bet on the flop confused me, why bet so much with a hand so strong?

Notice he is raising every time. Pro players always do that. They do not let you feel that they have very strong hand. They follow same pattern of raising even when they have not so strong hand.
cheers

Maybe he thinks you call irregardless? For example, if you caught AK and a fish who would never fold a weak ace even when 3barreled into tagged along....would you honestly not bet hard? Important part on deciding how to play flopped monsters is thinking of a line that would pay off the most...and usually just barreling all 3 streets big is the best way at 2nl.

It's entirely possible he is auto piloting 2nl and just barreling 3 streets it is very very standard against a fish which he prolly assumes anyone other than himself is.

Aaaaanyway, I hardly call 60 pct pot strong, it's average, maybe slightly weak side.

For what it's worth given an unknown with no stats, calling the river is probably okay. He can conceivably do this with AJ and AT.

If the dude was from utg though beware.

Maybe I am big fish but I wouldn't just call him I would try to raise him and if he would reraise I would fold... and still I am sure it wouldnt cost me so much money as it did you...

Why reraise? To fold out hands that you beat? Sure AT and AJ "might" call the flop if you raise the cbet but then the action shuts down as he will check and you, fearing he has the nuts when he called your raise, will check back.
AK , 2p and the bottom set certainly won't fold to a raise.

What you have in AQ here is a showdown hand. Please don't raise out hands that may attempt to go for thin value against you such as weaker aces.

Well I think you played right. Highest pair and kicker + no flash chance and stright chance come out only in turn and river after his pretty big bets.

Okay play, just not lucky. If I was in situation like this I would think that opponent is chasing for straight.

I would fold the river, but call when it doesn't run out 4 to a straight.
