I'm thinking of playing only these starting hands and folding everything else so that I can increase my chances of hitting monster hands (flushes and sets). Let me know what you guys think of this?

Ax suited
Kx suited
Pairs (set)

Also play any two broadway cards but don't get super excited and bet aggressively as they mostly only make a single pairs

Well, those are pretty good hands to play. I would be careful about low aces and low kings, because of the odds that someone may make the same pair with a better kicker. Suited connectors are probably better hands to play than all of those Kx combinations, as well.

Limit your range in early position, but towards the button it can become profitable to raise more hands to either steal blinds or play flops in position. Something you might want to consider adding into your game.

Sounds like a good idea, I'm sure none of those cash game grinders will figure out what you are doing.

Its pointless responding to this guy as he's just posting these to get "quality" posts presumably to get in the freeroll club. I posted a link to free videos of how to master 6max a month ago in https://www.cardschat.com/forum/cash-games-11/critique-strategy-343615/.
He obviously hasn't watched them or learnt anything from them as since then he keeps coming back with these stupid strategies asking for comments on them.
https://www.cardschat.com/forum/learning-poker-57/starting-hands-see-a-cheap-flop-345551/ is pretty much the same as this starting post.
https://www.cardschat.com/forum/learning-poker-57/play-only-premium-hands-343927/#post3830417 etc

you are showing no interest in actually listening and taking up any replies so why should we bother responding to someone effectively trolling to get into some freerolls.

Unusual reply from you Keith. Not sure what happened. I did watch a good number of videos and read some books too. I understand the typical suggestion of what hands to open based on position and previous limpers and raisers.

No, this is not for the freerolls. I don't even play on the websites the freerolls are being offered on. I only do it on globalpoker. I didn't even click the freerolls forum till now, lol. I love the game and love to talk about it. That's the only reason for the posts.

Thanks for your replies so far. You are welcome not to reply to my threads. And if you give advice and see someone seems to be not following your advice, don't be attached to it. Just learn to ignore and not be bothered by it. We can't control other people's actions right?

Well you are describing a Button open range without medium suited connectors and weak suited cards, or if you drop weakest suited kings an cut off range without weakest hands.

If you have trouble of playing suited connectors, ie weaker draws, just don't play them. But add some of them to ranges if you find a place where you feel comfortable because at one point you need to play them. Better sooner than later. Just pick the spots you feel good to play them, fold rest without thinking it that much at all.

You got to play way much more hands in order to make money. I would say about 33% of the deck has got to be played but you need to have the post flop skills to do that. Always raise coming into the pot as the 1st one in and also raise any villain that limps on your right. Never let anybody limp when you have position on them. Always raise with all your hands.

Super agro works at low levels, but doesn't translate well to higher limits. IMHO the best way to play is based on the table you find yourself. Against a tight table play aggressive in position. Against an aggressive table open tight and bet hard when you have something.

This is actually a pretty wide range. Suited cards with ace king and pocket pairs Mixed with Broadway's is pretty standard. You hit a set and you're good. Hit a flush draw is also good. I'd throw in a few of the higher suited connectors. At least use j 10 suited or not. If it hits a straight draw, it's a guaranteed nut straight draw, and has a higher chance of hitting a draw than any connector in existence. Maybe 10 9 suited only. I think this strategy works great for me. Roughly half my hands are big pairs, and half flushes or straights or sets. Great way to trick people.
