Play deep stack on Nl2 or short stack on NL5

Hello, I am currently playing NL2 with a multi strategy, I enter the tables with 50bb and I leave between 70 and 80bb. I have a great doubt now that I have a bank to consider leveling up I could do it in two ways, one would be to continue in NL2 but this time with the deep stack strategy and the other would be to go up to NL5 but with my short stack strategy.
The two levels are very similar. Many comment that with the deep strategy you earn more money for having the full stack but then the degree of commitment is less frequent than the short stack.

You could try both and see which approach you prefer. I do think though that long-term for your cash poker career, you would benefit from feeling comfortable playing with 100bb stacks. So even if you primarily short-stack NL5, I would try playing NL2 with full stacks some of the time also.

Always full stack. Max stack...There are some "pros" for the shortstack "strategy". But mostly "cons".

2NL and 5NL is either for fun or for practice. If you play for fun, then just do, whatever you want. If you play for practice, then play with a full stack, since you learn more this way by being put into more difficult spots postflop. I think, I read in another thread, that you only have 50$ set aside for poker, and that means, you are confined to 2NL for now.

However, those who are relatively new to online poker may have problems with the transition right away due to the large difference in the skill of the fields. What exactly do I mean here? You will be more likely to 3-bet preflop. You will be 4-bet more preflop. You will be floated more often postflop. You will be raised more often postflop. You will be barreled more often postflop. Basically, you will notice significant changes in the level of aggression of players both preflop and postflop. But this does not mean that now you will need to hack to bluff with each particular reg. In fact, this is a big mistake many people (myself included) make when moving to a higher limit.

Definitely deep stacks imo. Problem with short stack play is that even if you become extremely good at it you'll end up deeper stacked and out of your comfort zone,

Exactly. And what are you going to do, if one day you move to live poker? Leave the casino for the night, as soon as you dubble up from 50BB to 100BB? In live poker you can not just jump from table to table, as you can online.
