2 pesky betting trends that gives me headache..
When in the past people would advocate value or bluff betting 1/2 to 2/3 of the pot now a new trend is emerging betting 1/3 or less pot. Sometimes even betting the minimum on every street.
Its such a pesky move. the person bets 1/3 or less on flop, 1/3 or less on turn 1/3 or less or river. Sometimes you don't know whether to call with top pair weak kicker. And if you are on middle pair whether to call down on all 3 streets with a min bet (You're afraid if you raise they would just call and then min bet again) Its such a dilemma .
Of course those pesky betters are doing it with some legit hands like top pair or better and some draw hands.
You can re-raise them and sometimes they re-raise you back (which is a very strong signal) or they call and then bet very little on turn again. Again giving you a headache, are they on the flush draw or a hidden monster? if you reraise them again thinking they are on a draw they might re-raise you back with a monster, if you only call you signal weakness and give them proper odds on a draw.
Another is the min 3-bet. If you raise 6c preflop they min 3 bet u 10c. They are doing it with Aces, Kings and some other speculative hands.
Again you almost have the odds to call and some of these min 3 betters also incorporate the 1/3 betting on all streets pesky method. So you really don't know whether to re-raise them (If they are on Aces, Kings probably bad move) or just call or what.
How do you handle them?
