I'm sensing you call too much with pairs.

Raise your small/medium pairs and cbet it. If you have a pair lower than the board and people call your cbet, just check/fold. Keep value betting the pairs only when it is a overpair.

Call only when you have implied odds to hit a set. So if a guy with 10BB raises 4BB and everyone folds to you, you don't have the implied odds to call that raise unless it's a big pair that can win on his own and against that open from such a shortstack I'd probably just 3bet the 10BB. You'd be a huge favorite against a lower pair, ATC lower than your pair and flipping against two overcards.

Is this from a PT3 or HEM stat? I think in there, everybody has a loss when looking at 1 pair/ high card final hands.

I posted this before and a few people said it is normal for pairs to be a loss overall. Don't forget a lot of pairs are rubbish, this isn't a top pair top kicker thing where you should be showing a profit.

Just checked. I am down $380 with pairs over 50000 hands but have an overall profit of $280. 3bb / 100 hands. Not a great winrate but if I could turn my $380 loss into a profit or break even wow that would be a nice winrate lol. Also losing high cards. Two pair and higher all have a good profit.

^^ I think that's pretty standard. You probably need to filter so you only see the hands you actually play. I'm pretty sure it's tracking the hands you folded that would have made a pair.

Now I'm confused. I thought OP was talking about pocket pairs...

Oh, I could be wrong.

OP, are you talking pocket pairs, or pairs at showdown?

Ok, that is standard then. 2 pair + should all have profit.

You need to filter it to show when you voluntarily put money in the pot, and ended with a pair.

This you are going to flop 2 or 3 pair with no kicker and stuff like that so overall you are not going to show a profit with 1 pair hands.
