Hi,
Usually when playin online i like to over bet the pot when there are draws on the board after the flop, because of the amount of people online who seemingly will chase ANY kind of draw i seem to get more success totally jamming the pot when i hit and don't want any else to draw out on me.
My question is/are
1. I dont have a great understanding of implied odds, i dont use them too much because i see it as a lot of guess work, was always sayin to myself 'i think i could get another 50c on the turn if i hit' then hitting and not getting any extra, making my thought process on the flop bad. Does overbetting the pot give any sort of odds at all??
2. Is it worth betting 3/4s of the pot to not give someone odds but maybe still entice a bad call from the fishers?? In my eyes it isnt because (and this isnt an online pokers rigged rant) draws ALWAYS hit online!! and it doesnt seem worth it to bet 3/4s into someone who u know is on a draw and who will most probably hit said draw!
Any advice would be appreciated, cheers
