Assume 6max. Say we call ATs in blinds (never mind why) vs EP or MP TAG opener, everyone else folds.

We flop a NFD, and either lead out or c/r. Can we just over-jam the flop as a lead or c/r to avoid turn completely? Say flop is 369 with 2 of our suit.

The reason I ask is, that I often find myself leading or check-raising flop just to be called by an overpair. When turn bricks, I am in a tricky spot.

How does this change if we have some SD equity, say a gutshot or top pair?

I know what you mean about getting in a spot when the turn misses after you have already semi-bluffed on the come with your NFD. I will usually try and make a small bet on the flop here myself just to see where I might be. Never know it might take the pot down right there and often does but if not you can see how good others feel about their hands with just a small bet. With that particular board you site nothing really scary about it on the flop barring someone having caught a set. That is where your small bet might get raised up by someone wanting to make it expensive for you to draw to the flush. Then you still are in a pickle as to what to do but you aren't to heavily invested in the hand got the info you wanted and can lay it down or start running to catch your card ;) . Now if you had the NFD and 2 over cards and or say open ended straights you really wouldn't be a dog to much after the flop hitting to like suits as you would have so many outs. Then it is a matter of do you feel lucky, punk? LOL I have pushed and hit and pushed and missed with all those outs. My best advice would be to not overplay them or push it till you make the hand. Show some aggression to add value in case it hits and possibly take it down then but be prepared to toss it. You can also make a nice size bet to represent having the nuts already and wanting to run off any flush draws which can illicit more calls especially from those will lesser flush draws and top pair etc.

Dats my thoughts anyway :)
