I've been playing a ton of poker recently and have decided to expand into Stud Hi, and Stud Hi/Lo. I do very well at hold'em and omaha, but find the Stud to be a bit more interesting. My question is, who has a line on which hands are best to start with in Stud.

I also would like to know if anyone has a rough guide to when to fold'em. I know in razz 2 or more bricks means fold'em. . .what should I look for before I throw away a hand.

7 stud

I have always enjoyed playing 7 stud or 7 h/l which is a little more interesting. All depends on your fellow players, but unless I have something to work with such as a pair or strait or flush draw in the first 4 cards I will usually fold, but in h/l thats a little different. I do like the h/l better. Well gl at the tables

Understanding stud is mearly math dude. Read what skalnsky has to say because he is brilliant. GEnerally in stud tournametns I play super tight. Never play just cuz you can or its cheap. Its also nice because you can calculate what the pot will look like because its limit. More MATH
