I have an omaha question.

For example, lets say we are in middle position with Ad Ah 9d Th, there are five others in the pot, all of them fairly standard TAG players.

Flop is 9 T 5 rainbow, no hearts or diamonds.

How do you play this? Do you try to give bad odds to JQxx suited chasing the nut straight or running suited cards? Or do you play it like a drawing hand and try to hit an ace, 9 or T? Not sure because while im pretty new to omaha, i have never really seen two pair, especially mid sized ones like 9 T, win a pot of any size.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm just beginning in omaha. Also, should this go in a different section of the forum? Thanks.

But as was the hand action PF? What is the limit, NL2, zoom? SH or FR?

With this board and the number of players is not good your situation.

I was just using this as sort of an example, ive never actually had that same hand. Im really just trying to figure out how to play top 2 in omaha. Dump, or draw to a house?

With 5 other people to the flop top two pair probably won't hold up very often - big draws (like a wrap straight draw with overcards) will be favorites against you on the flop but on a safe turn you've got a good chance.

If you can get heads-up or 3-handed you generally should play top 2 aggressively on the flop.

I'd suggest reading up on stack-to-pot ratio and implications of SPR for hand values.

Good luck!

first . you must raised preflop.
two at this ground cart you must trying to raise about 5 or 10pot .
becouse you have AA and you already two pair with chance to become full house
if in turn come Q or J you can play slowly and see what is reaction other player and go safety to river that you can select decision in your option

I would start with a bet on this board, since we have top 2 pair. We are mostly betting to get value from those drawing type hands that you mention. This will hopefully also get us from 5 players in the pot to a smaller number, such as 1 or 2 other people. If the turn brings a straight, then we will likely want to evaluate how many players remain in the hand and play the turn cautiously.

There are many cards that can come on the turn and river that leave you with the second best hand. Of course, you cannot know what your opponents have but to answer your question about this flop I would start with a bet, anywhere between 60% to 100% of the pot seems fine to me.

It cannot be a rainbow flop with no hearts or diamonds.
If there were no hearts or diamonds, then there must be two clubs or two spades.
What is also important, is your position relative to the other five in the pot and their action pre and post flop.

Hard to give advice when not sure of all the details, but it's not a flop that would get me too excited. I would be inclined to bailout and wait for another opportunity. Each player has six, two card combinations in their hand. So with five others in the pot, that makes it thirty, two card combinations against you.

I'm not an Omaha expert but I enjoy playing the game.
